I was in San Diego the day of the attacks, about as far as you could be from N.Y. and still be in the ctonury (sorry Hawaii and Alaska) and 3 hours behind the time. I first heard on NPR during the drive to work, a construction site, and after a very short time turned right around and went home. I spent the rest of the day as did my friends and neighbors watching the TV. Later, I sat outside on the lawn discussing the days events with my neighbors. I think my experience that day was not so
